To my despair (or perhaps luckily) I haven´t seen a painting by de Chirico at close proximity. I wish I had because this painting is recurrently in my thoughts.
The Handsome Pork-Butcher (1924-6, 1929-35) by Francis Picabia
I admire Picabia´s work a lot. This piece is one of my favourites since I have actually seen it which made me understand he´s genius. My trembling gaze between the two figures keeps me attracted to this image.
